Writers' Toolbox

If you need some help working on your writing process, take a moment to see the equipment that's available in the Writers' Toolbox. Here you'll find specific instruction and exercises addressing diverse areas of writing concerns. You can find answers to the questions you've often wondered about. "How do I make my thesis stronger?" "How can I begin my essay in a way that will interest my reader?" "Why doesn't my essay make sense?" "How can I write a conclusion that does more than reshuffle my thesis?"

The Toolbox answers these questions and many others. You'll also find many writing samples with accompanying analyses. This way you'll see both effective and ineffective strategies and understand why they are categorized this way. We hope that you'll use the Toolbox in conjunction with the Workbench and discussion group services in order to improve the quality of your essays.
